WHEREAS, on February 25, 2014, the City of Newark through its Purchasing Director advertised to solicit bids for contractor(s) to provide, Work Boots, to the Departments of Child and Family Well-Being, Engineering, Fire, Neighborhood and Recreational Services, Police and Water and Sewer Utilities, as per the bid proposal attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Central Purchasing distributed six (6) bid proposal packages to the prospective vendors following the date of advertisement; and
WHEREAS, on March 13, 2014, three (3) bids were received in response to this advertisement; and
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director recommends a dual line item award be made to Asia Trading Int'l d/b/a Unipro International and Flemington Department Store, the lowest responsive responsible bidders; and
