WHEREAS, on April 22, 2014, the City of Newark through its Purchasing Director advertised to solicit bids for contractor(s) to provide, Ammunition, to the Departments of Police and Fire, as per the bid proposal attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Central Purchasing distributed two (2) bid proposal packages to prospective vendors following the date of advertisement; and
WHEREAS, on May 8, 2014, one (1) bid was received in response to this advertisement; and
WHEREAS, the Range Master of the Police Department reviewed the bid response and requested updates to the specification to better meet the needs of the City; and
WHEREAS, the bid received was rejected; and
WHEREAS, on May 20, 2014, the City of Newark through its Purchasing Director re-advertised to solicit bids for contractor(s) to provide, Ammunition, to the Departments of Police and Fire, as per the bid proposal attached hereto; and
