AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 23:5-14e, PARKING BY PERMIT ONLY IN DESIGNATED RESIDENTIAL AREAS, OF TITLE 23, TRAFFIC AND PARKING, OF THE REVISED GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, 2000, AS AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED, BY REVISING THE EXISTING PERMIT PARKING HOURS ON UNDERWOOD STREET BETWEEN SANDFORD AVENUE AND STUYVESANT AVENUE.

WHEREAS, the residents of Hillside Terrace have submitted a petition to revise the Permit Parking on Underwood Street between Sandford Avenue and Stuyvesant Avenue from 24hrs./Day to 10:00 p.m. through 6:00 a.m/Days, Monday-Sunday, in the West Ward.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
Section 1. That Section 23:5-14e, Parking by Permit Only in Designated Residential Areas, of Title 23, Traffic and Parking, of the Revised General Ordinances of the City of Newark, New Jersey, 2000, be amended and supplemented, by deleting the following:
Underwood Street, both sides between Sandford Avenue and Stuyvesant Avenue
(Hours: 24hrs. / Days: Monday-Sunday)
Section 2. That Section 23:5-14e, Parking by Permit Only in Designated Residential Areas, of Title 23, Traffic and Parking, of the Revised General Ordinances of the City of Newark, New Jersey, 2000, be amended and supplemented by adding thereto the following:
Underwood Street, both sides between Sandford Avenue and Stuyvesant Avenue
(Hours: 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. / Days: Monday-Sunday)
Section 3. Regulatory signs shall be erected and maintained by the City of Newark.
Section 4. Any ordinance or parts thereof inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon final passage and publication and in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey.
