WHEREAS, on September 10, 2013, the City of Newark through its Director of Purchasing advertised to solicit bids for contractors to provide, Recycling Services for Materials, Bottles, Cans and Paper Products for the Department of Neighborhood and Recreational Services, as per the bid proposal attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Central Purchasing distributed six (6) bid proposal packages to prospective vendors following the date of advertisement; and
WHEREAS, no bids were accepted in response to this advertisement due to a need to revise the specifications; and
WHEREAS, on March 4, 2014, the City of Newark through its Director of Purchasing re- advertised for contractors to provide, Recycling Materials Bottles, Cans and Paper Product services to the Department of Neighborhood and Recreational Services as per the bid proposal attached hereto; and
