Whereas, the Newark Municipal Council is desirous of supporting a Senior Luncheon at Seth Boyden Elderly, 46 Evergreen Avenue/839 Frelinghuysen Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07114, on Friday, November 14, 2014, between 12:00 Noon and 4:00 P.M.; and
Whereas, the Newark Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event by approving the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement by the Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of the Newark Housing Authority, 500 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council of the City of Newark supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission for the benefit of the Newark Housing Authority, 500 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark's use of Seth Boyden Elderly, 46 Evergreen Avenue/839 Frelinghuysen Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07114, on Friday, November 14, 2014, between 12:00 Noon and 4:00 P.M.
2. That the City Clerk, on behalf of the Newark Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to the Newark Housing Authority, 500 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for their records.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement drawn by the Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
Statement
This resolution hereby authorizes the support and the issuance by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for the benefit of the Newark Housing Authority for any claims arising out of the City of Newark's use of Seth Boyden Elderly, 46 Evergreen Avenue/839 Frelinghuysen Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07114, for Honorable Councilman Luis A. Quintana's Senior Luncheon in the City of Newark, on Friday, November 14, 2014, between 12:00 Noon and 4:00 P.M.
