WHEREAS, on September 17, 2013, the City of Newark through its Purchasing Director advertised to solicit bids for Temporary Staffing for Accounting Personnel, which the contractor will provide to the City of Newark, for the Department of Administration, Division of Partnership & Grants Management and Department of Finance, Accounts and Control, usage as described in the attached bid proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Central Purchasing solicited twelve (12) prospective vendor (s) from its established bid list; and
WHEREAS, on October 3, 2013, two (2) bids were received in response to this advertisement; and
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director concludes from review and evaluation that an award be made to Axion World Wide LLC, the lowest responsive and responsible bidder; and
WHEREAS, during the June 5, 2014 regular public meeting of the Newark Municipal Council resolution 7R1-a was adopted as amended changing the contract awarded to Axion World Wide LLC. From two (2) years to one (1) year and reducing the total contract amount from 315,000 to $242,500; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council wishes to rescind resolution 7R1-a.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
Resolution 7R1-a is hereby rescinded in its entirety.
STATEMENT
This resolution rescinds resolution 7R1-a 06/06/14 contract awarded to Axion World Wide LLC, 510 Thornall St, Suite 110, Edison, New Jersey, 08837 to provide Temporary Staffing for Accounting Personnel, at a cost not to exceed $242,500.00 for period of September 1, 2014 until August 31, 2015.
