WHEREAS, the Division of Traffic and Signals, Department of Engineering, City of Newark, on June 5, 2012, June 12, 2012 and June 19, 2012 advertised for the receipt of bids on July 19, 2012for Contract No. 09-2011, Wilson Avenue Intersection Improvements-Traffic Signals; and
WHEREAS, on July 19, 2012, three (3) bids were received for Contract No. 09-2011, Wilson Avenue Intersection Improvements-Traffic Signals, in accordance with the Local Public Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1, et. seq.; and
WHEREAS, based on a review of the bids, the Director of the Department of Engineering recommends an award of Contract No. 09-2011, Wilson Avenue Intersection Improvements-Traffic-Signals, to the lowest responsible bidder, Kevco Electric, Inc., 62-84 Arlington Ave., Bloomfield, New Jersey 07003, in accordance with their bid proposal for the amount not to exceed $629,518.80.
