Whereas, Shawn W. Reeves has been appointed as a Constable pursuant to Resolution 7R9-b adopted at the November 6, 2014 meeting; and
Whereas, the Municipal Council wishes to amend the appointment date due to overdue receipt of the required constable bond; and
Whereas, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-125, Shawn W. Reeves, must give a bond in such form and amount as prescribed by the Governing Body and approved as to form and legality by the Corporation Counsel.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
The Constable in the amount of $1,000.00 issued to Shawn W. Reeves, 2 Keer Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07112, for a period of three (3) years from the date of adoption of this resolution or to the expiration of the Constable Bond whichever occurs first, is approved as to form, amount and sufficiency.
STATEMENT
This amended Resolution authorizes Shawn W. Reeves to serve as a Constable in the City of Newark, New Jersey for a three (3) year term.
