WHEREAS, at the request of the Department of Engineering and review of the traffic operations by New Jersey Transit in conjunction with the City of Newark, Division of Traffic and Signals and pursuant to N.J.S.A 39:4-197(3)(a), the following described location is relocated as a bus stop:
ADDED BUS STOP:
1. In the Central Ward, along West Market Street, westbound on the northerly side thereof:
Norfolk Street, Far Side
Beginning at the westerly curb line of Norfolk Street and extending 100ft westerly therefrom.
DELETED BUS STOP:
2. In the Central Ward, along West Market Street, westbound on the northerly side thereof:
Norfolk Street, Near Side
Beginning at the easterly curb line of Norfolk Street and extending 105ft easterly therefrom.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 39:4-197(3)(a) of Title 39 of the Revised Statutes of New Jersey, a municipality may by ordinance, resolution or regulation designate or delete a bus stop.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. In the Central Ward, the following described location be hereby relocated:
From: along West Market Street, westbound on the northerly side, at Norfolk Street (nearside) beginning at the easterly curb line of Norfolk Street and extending 105ft easterly therefrom.
To: along West Market Street, westbound on the northerly side, at Norfolk Street (farside) beginning at the westerly curb line of Norfolk Street and extending 100ft westerly therefrom.
2. No Municipal funds need to be expended for this act.
