WHEREAS, the Newark St Patrick's Day Parade has proudly marched on the streets of the City of Newark for eighty (80) years; and

WHEREAS, the 2015 St Patrick's Day Parade will take place in Newark on Friday, March 13^th; and              

WHEREAS, the City of Newark wishes to celebrate the event and the participation in this year's parade of the Castlerea Brass and Reed Band from Ireland.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY. THAT:

The Mayor and Municipal Council join with the citizens of the great City of Newark to declare March 6, 2015 to March 18, 2015 as Irish Heritage Week

This resolution declares March 6, 2015 to March 18, 2015 as Irish Heritage Week in celebration with the St Patrick's Day Parade
