WHEREAS, at the request of the Department of Engineering and review of the traffic operations by New Jersey Transit in conjunction with the City of Newark, Division of Traffic and Signals and pursuant to N.J.S.A. 39:4-8 (e), the following described location designates the deletion of a bus stop:
DELETED BUS STOP:
In the East Ward, along Raymond Boulevard, westbound on the northerly side thereof:
Chapel Street, Near Side
Beginning at the easterly curb line of Chapel Street and extending 105ft easterly therefrom.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 39:4-8 (e) of Title 39 of the Revised Statutes of New Jersey, a municipality may by ordinance, resolution or regulation designate or delete a bus stop.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. In the East Ward, the following described location be hereby deleted:
Along Raymond Boulevard, westbound on the northerly side, at Chapel Street (Near Side) beginning at the easterly curb line of Chapel Street and extending 105ft easterly therefrom.
2. No Municipal funds need to be expended for this act.
3. No Amendment will be made to this resolution without the approval of the Municipal Council of the City of Newark.
4. Upon approval, the Department of Engineering will forward a copy of this resolution to the City Clerk's Office to notify them of the Local Government's approval for the deletion of bus stop as stated.
5. Upon approval, a certified copy of this resolution shall be forwarded to New Jersey Transit to notify them of the Local Government's approval for the deletion of bus stop as stated.
