WHEREAS, the United States Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency, through the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, has implemented the FY2014 Port Security Grant Program, Port of New York/New Jersey, to eligible municipalities and fire districts; and
WHEREAS, on or about November 3, 2014, on behalf of the City of Newark, the Director of the Newark Fire Department caused to be submitted an application to the United States Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency, requesting grant funding in the total amount of $536,250.00 for the purchase of a Foam Delivery Unit (Fire Engine) (for which grant funds in the amount of $431,250.00 were requested), AA-AFFF Universal Goal Foam (for which grant funds in the amount of $101,250.00 were requested), and fuel for fire boats (for ...
