AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 23:5-1, PARKING PROHIBITED AT ALL TIMES, OF TITLE 23, TRAFFIC AND PARKING, OF THE REVISED GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, 2000, AS AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED, BY PROHIBITING PARKING AT ALL TIMES ON CAMP STREET BETWEEN BROAD STREET AND MULBERRY STREET.

WHEREAS, the residents of Camp Street have submitted a petition to eliminate the "No Parking Anytime" restriction on the north side of Camp Street between Broad Street and Orchard Street; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Engineering agrees that the parking restriction should be eliminated in order to create additional on street parking.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
Section 1. That Section 23:5-1, Parking Prohibited at all Times, of Title 23, Traffic and Parking of the Revised General Ordinances of the City of Newark, New Jersey, 2000, as amended and supplemented, be amended by deleting therefrom the following:
Camp Street, north side, from Broad Street to Mulberry Street
Camp Street, south side, from Orchard Street to Mulberry Street
Section 2. That Section 23:5-1, Parking Prohibited at all Times, of Title 23, Traffic and Parking of the Revised General Ordinances of the City of Newark, New Jersey, 2000, as amended and supplemented, be amended by adding thereto the following:
Camp Street, north side, from Orchard Street to Mulberry Street
Section 3. Any existing ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon final passage and publication and in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey.
Section 5. This ordinance does not require approval by the Commissioner of Transportation.
