WHEREAS, at the request of the Department of Engineering and review of the traffic operations by New Jersey Transit in conjunction with the City of Newark, Division of Traffic and Signals and pursuant to N.J.S.A 39:4-197(3)(a), the following described location is relocated as a bus stop:

ADDED BUS STOP:

1. In the South Ward, along Bergen Street, southbound on the westerly side thereof:

Hawthorne Place, farside
Beginning at the southerly curb line of Hawthorne Place and extending 100 feet southerly therefrom.

DELETED BUS STOP:

2. In the South Ward, along Bergen Street, southbound on the westerly side thereof:

Nye Avenue, farside
Beginning at the southerly curb line of Nye Avenue and extending 100ft southerly therefrom.




WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 39:4-197(3)(a) of Title 39 of the Revised Statutes of New Jersey, a municipality may by ordinance, resolution or regulation designate or delete a bus stop; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 39:4-8(e) a municipality may without the approval of the Commissioner, and consistent with the current standards prescribed by the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways, by ordinance, resolution or regulation in any street under its jurisdiction designate stops.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:

1. In the South Ward, the following described location is hereby relocated:
