WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-125, Sergio J. Artiles, must give a bond, approved as to form, amount and sufficiency by the Corporation Counsel and the Municipal Council; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A 40A: 9-121, a constable must qualify within thirty (30) days of the initial adoption of the resolution of appointment, and shall hold office for a term of three (3) years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The term of the Constable appointment of Sergio J. Artiles, is for a period of three (3) years from the date of appointment or the expiration of the Constable Bond, whichever occurs first.
2. The Constable Bond, in the amount of $1,000.00 issued to Sergio J. Artiles, 365 Kerrigan Boulevard, Newark, New Jersey 07106, is approved as to form, amount and sufficiency.
STATEMENT
This resolution hereby authorizes and approves as to form, amount and sufficiency the Constable Bond for Sergio J. Artiles, 365 Kerrigan Boulevard, Newark, New Jersey 07106, who was appointed to serve as Constable in the City of Newark, New Jersey, for a period of three (3) years from the date of appointment to the expiration of the Constable Bond.
