WHEREAS, the City of Newark, Department of Water and Sewer Utilities was informed by the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness (OHSP), through an agreement, that they have allocated a sum of $150,000.00 for the "FY2015 Urban Areas Security Initiative Grant for the Newark Water Treatment". The New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness (OHSP), provide grant funds for various Urban Security Program; and

WHEREAS, the City of Newark, Department of Water and Sewer Utilities desires to accept and execute attached agreement with the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness (OHSP) to improve security at the Newark Water Treatment Plant; and

WHEREAS, the agreement between the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness (OHSP) and the City of Newark is specific on how the funds should be used for the Newark Water Treatment (a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof); and
