NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT
For Calendar Year 2016 the following scheduled days shall be considered as paid holidays.
January 1 New Year’s Day
January 18 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Birthday (Observed)
February 12 Lincoln’s Birthday
February 15 Washington’s Birthday (Observed)
March 25 Good Friday
May 30 Memorial Day
July 4 Independence Day
September 5 Labor Day
October 10 Columbus Day
November 8 Election Day
November 11 Veteran’s Day
November 24-25 Thanksgiving
December 26 Christmas Day (Observed)
