WHEREAS, on August 5, 2015 through Resolution 7R3-c , the Municipal Council authorized the Mayor to accept the following Youth ($1,834,102.00), Adult and Dislocated Worker ($2,637,887.00) Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) grant funds (formerly Workforce Investment Act), that was signed into law on July 1, 2014 for Program Year 2015 (July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016 ) for a combined funding total of $4,471,989.00; and WorkFirst New Jersey (WFNJ) grant allocation of $765,005.00 for TANF and $580,157.00 for GA/SNAP for a combined total of $1,345,162.00; and

WHEREAS, there exists a need for NewarkWORKS to enter into a contract with an entity that can provide educational services to five (5) youth clients in the area of '' Patient Care Technician" and fifteen (15) youth clients "Certified Clinical Medical Assistant' training pursuant to the provisions of the WIOA and WFNJ for the 2015-2016 Program Year July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016; and
