WHEREAS, on April 21, 2015, the City of Newark through its former Purchasing Director, advertised to solicit bids for Towing Services for City-owned Vehicles Light Duty, of which the contractor will provide to the City of Newark, for the Department of Engineering, Division of Motors' usage as described in the attached bid proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Central Purchasing distributed eight (8) bid packages in response to this advertisement; and
WHEREAS, on May 14, 2015, the City received two (2) bids in response to this advertisement; and
WHEREAS, one bidder was disqualified due to the closing of the facility without notifying the City of a new location; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Engineering, Division of Motors, reviewed the bid and recommended an award be made to the only responsive and responsible bidder B & C Towing Inc. 527 Avenue P, Newark, New Jersey 07105; and
WHEREAS, the current Supervising Procurement Specialist, concurs with the recommendation; and
