AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 23:11-3, TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLATIONS BASED ON DESIGNATED TRAFFIC SIGNAL PLAN, OF TITLE 23, TRAFFIC AND PARKING, OF THE REVISED GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, 2000, AS AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED, BY ADDING ADDITIONAL INTERSECTIONS.
Body
WHEREAS, the Division of Traffic and Signals desires to add newly constructed and reconstructed signalized intersections to this Ordinance in order to comply with Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, and New Jersey Title 39 of the Revised Statutes Administrative Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
Section 1. That Section 23:11-3, Traffic Signal Installation based on Designated Traffic Signal Plan, of Title 23, Traffic and Parking, of the Revised General Ordinances of the City of Newark, New Jersey, 2000, as amended and supplemented, by adding thereto the following:

Section 2. Any existing ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon final passage and publication and in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey.
Section 4. This ordinance does not require approval by the Commissioner of Transportation.
Statement
This ordinance adds reconstructed signalized intersections and new signalized intersection to Section 23:11-3, Traffic Signal Installation based on Designated Traffic Signal Plan.
