WHEREAS, on January 13, 2016, the City of Newark advertised Contract No. 06- WS2016 Charlotteburg Reservoir Dam Foundation Drain Flushing and five (5) bid documents were distributed; and
WHEREAS, on February 11, 2016, the Department of Water and Sewer Utilities received four (4) bids for the project in accordance with the Local Public Contracts Law N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq.; and
WHEREAS, National Water Main Cleaning Co., 1806 Newark Turnpike, Kearny, New Jersey 07032, submitted the lowest responsive and responsible bid according to the specifications and in the amount of $114,450.00; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to accept the bid submitted by National Water Main Cleaning Co., on February 11, 2016, and execute Contract No. 06-WS2016 Charlotteburg Reservoir Dam Foundation Drain Flushing, with National Water Main Cleaning Co., 1806 Newark Turnpike, Kearny, New Jersey 07032, for a total amount not to exceed $114,450.00.
