WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council is desirous of supporting the City of Newark, Office of the Mayor’s Use of the Marion Bolden Student Center at Speedway Academy, 230 Broadway, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for the Newark Youth Street Academy, a newly created re-engagement program for youth, on May 16, 2016, between 7:30 A.M until 9:00 P.M for the purpose of conducting learning programs for out of school youth population that provide education, job training, and social-emotional preparation; and

 

           WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event by approving the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for the benefit of  the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102.

 

            NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:

 

1.                     The Municipal Council of the City of Newark supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark, Office of the Mayor and Agencies’ use of Marion Bolden Student Center at 230 Broadway, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for the Newark Youth Street Academy, a newly created re-engagement program for youth, on May 16, 2016 between 7:30 A.M until 9:00 P.M for the purpose of running learning programs for out of school youth population that provides education, job training, and social-emotional preparation.

 

2.                     The Office of the Mayor and Agencies, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for their records.

 

3.                     A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
