WHEREAS, Lillian Carpenter was the custodian for the Department of Public Safety/Police Division Petty Cash Fund; and

WHEREAS, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40:5-21, the City of Newark is changing the custodian for the Department of Public Safety/Police Division to Joseph Pastore; and

 

WHEREAS, Joseph Pastore, is bonded in the amount of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) by virtue of a surety bond.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:

 

1.                     Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:5-21, the Mayor and/or his designee, the Director of the Department of Finance, are hereby authorized and directed to amend the Petty Cash Fund for the following department and agency within the City of Newark totaling $1,000.00 to be maintained by the following bonded custodians for the calendar Year 2016:

 

Department of Public Safety

 

Division of Police                                           Joseph Pastore                                              $ 1,000.00

 

2.                     The Finance Director shall file a copy of this resolution in the Office of the City Clerk and shall be made available for public inspection.

 

3.                     Two (2) copies of this resolution be filed with the Director of Local Government Services for his approval.

 

 

STATEMENT

 

This resolution amends 7R5-b March 2, 2016, to replace Lillian Carpenter with Joseph Pastore as custodian of the Petty Cash Fund for the Department of Public Safety/Division of Police.
