AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 23:5-1, PARKING PROHIBITED AT ALL TIMES, OF TITLE 23, TRAFFIC AND PARKING, OF THE REVISED GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, 2000, AS AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED, BY PROHIBITING PARKING AT ALL TIMES ON PORTIONS OF MANOR DRIVE (WEST WARD).

WHEREAS, the Department of Engineering desires to add No Parking Anytime restrictions on portions of Manor Drive to accommodate vehicles exiting the parking lot driveway of the Ivy Hill Park Apartments.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
Section 1. That Section 23:5-1, Parking Prohibited at all Times, of Title 23, Traffic and Parking, of the Revised General Ordinances of the City of Newark, New Jersey, 2000, as amended and supplemented, be amended by adding thereto the following:
Manor Drive, east side, beginning 532 feet south of the southerly curbline of Mt. Vernon Place and extending 115 feet southerly therefrom
Section 2. Any existing ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon final passage and publication and in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey.
Section 4. This ordinance does not require approval by the Commissioner of Transportation.
STATEMENT
This ordinance amends Section 23:5-1, Parking Prohibited at all Times, by adding “No Parking Anytime” prohibitions on portions of Manor Drive in the West Ward.
