WHEREAS, on March 8, 2016, the City of Newark, through its Supervising Procurement Specialist, advertised to solicit bids for contractor(s) to provide Hypochlorite Liquid Sodium (Water Treatment Disinfectant), to the Department of Water and Sewer Utilities, as per the bid proposal attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Central Purchasing also distributed eight (8) bid proposal packages to prospective vendors following the date of advertisement; and
WHEREAS, on March 24, 2016, the Division received four (4) bids in response to this advertisement; and
WHEREAS, the City of Newark's Office of the Corporation Counsel, requested that the Supervising Procurement Specialist re-advertise for Hypochlorite Liquid Sodium (Water Treatment Disinfectant) due to un-curable price schedule alterations by a bidder, by writing unsolicited information on the price schedule;...
