WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council is desirous of supporting the Annual Dominican Day Parade and Music Festival to be held between 7th Avenue and Broadway continuing onto Bloomfield Avenue ending at Lake Street on Sunday, September 4, 2016, between 12:00 P.M. and 10:00 P.M. (Rain Date September 25, 2016); and
WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council of the City of Newark supports the Annual Dominican Parade and Music Festival to be held between 7th Avenue and Broadway continuing onto Bloomfield Avenue ending at Lake Street on Sunday, September 4, 2016, between 12:00 P.M. and 10:00 P.M. (Rain Date September 25, 2016)
2. This resolution is hereby ratified to the date of adoption.
STATEMENT
This resolution hereby supports the Annual Dominican Parade and Music Festival to be held between 7th Avenue and Broadway continuing onto Bloomfield Avenue ending at Lake Street on Sunday, September 4, 2016 from 12:00 P.M. and 10:00 P.M. (Rain Date September 25, 2016), sponsored by Councilman, Luis A. Quintana.
