TITLE
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 23:5-1, PARKING PROHIBITED AT ALL TIMES, OF TITLE 23, OF THE REVISED GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, 2000, AS AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED, BY PROHIBITING PARKING ON WILSEY STREET, EAST SIDE, FROM WARREN STREET TO NEW STREET (CENTRAL WARD).

WHEREAS, the Department of Engineering desires to revise Section 23:5-1, Parking Prohibited at all Times, of Title 23, Traffic and Parking, of the Revised General Ordinances of the City of Newark, New Jersey, 2000, as amended and supplemented, by adding No Parking Anytime restrictions on the east side of Wilsey Street, from Warren Street to New Street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
Section 1. Section 23:5-1, Parking Prohibited at all Times, of Title 23, Traffic and Parking, of the Revised General Ordinances of the City of Newark, New Jersey, 2000, as amended and supplemented, be amended by adding thereto the following:
Wilsey Street, east side, from Warren Street to New Street
Section 2. Any existing ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon final passage and publication in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey.
Section 4. This ordinance does not require approval by the Commissioner of Transportation.
STATEMENT
This ordinance amends Section 23:5-1, Parking Prohibited at all Times, by adding “No Parking Anytime” prohibitions on Wilsey Street, east side, from Warren Street to New Street in the Central Ward.
