WHEREAS, on May 31, 2016, the City of Newark through its Supervising Procurement Specialist, advertised to solicit bids for contractors to provide the Rental of Uniforms and Laundering to the Division(s) of Public Buildings, Water and Sewer Customer Service and Traffic and Signals as per the bid proposal attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Central Purchasing also distributed three (3) bid proposal packages to prospective vendors following the date of advertisement; and
WHEREAS, on June 16, 2016, the Division of Central Purchasing received two (2) bids in response to the May 31, 2016, advertisement; and
WHEREAS, the Supervising Procurement Specialist reviewed the bids and in conjunction with the Directors of the Divisions of Public Buildings, Water and Sewer Customer Service and Traffic and Signals, recommended that a contract for the Rental of Uniforms and Laundering be awarded to the lowest responsive responsible ...
