WHEREAS, on March 1, 2016, the City of Newark, through its Supervising Procurement Specialist, advertised to solicit bids for Maintenance and Repair: Trucks Over One (1) Ton Capacity, which the contractor will provide to the City of Newark, for the Department of Public Works, Division of Motors' usage as described in the attached bid proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Central Purchasing solicited sixteen (16) prospective vendor (s) from its established bid list; and
WHEREAS, on March 17, 2016, four (4) bids were received in response to this advertisement; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works, Division of Motors recommends that a dual award be made to A. Lembo Car & Heavy Truck Collision Inc., 76 Riverside Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104 and to Abreu Truck Services, 283-299 Frelinghuysen Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07114, the lowest responsive and responsible bidders; and
