WHEREAS, the Panasonic Systems Communications Company, 2 Riverfront Plaza, Newark, New Jersey 07102, wishes to donate to the City of Newark, Department of Public Safety, Police Division, (the City) eighty (80) Panasonic Arbitrator Body-Worn Cameras with accessories and fifteen (15) Panasonic Arbitrator In-Vehicle Cameras with accessories with a total value of three hundred thirty-seven thousand nine hundred dollars and zero cents ($337,900.00), a copy of the itemized goods and services is attached.
WHEREAS, on January 18, 2017, Greg Peratt, Director of Arbitrator & Evidence Management Solutions, Panasonic Systems Communications Company, executed a letter of donation from the Panasonic Systems Communications Company (attached hereto and made a part hereof) does not set forth any conditions relative to the acceptance or use of the gift; and
WHEREAS, the Director of the Department of Public Safety recommends that the gift from Panasonic Systems Communications Company be accepted pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:5-29; and
WHEREAS, the gift shall not be put to any use which is inconsistent with the laws of New Jersey and of the United States; and
WHEREAS, the acceptance of this gift assists the City with compliance of certain requirements of the Consent Decree; and
