WHEREAS, on November 29, 2016, the City of Newark, through its Supervising Procurement Specialist, advertised to solicit bids for Masonry, Maintenance, Installation and Repair, to provide to the City of Newark, Department of Public Works usage as described in the attached contractor's bid proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Central Purchasing solicited twelve (12) bids from prospective vendor(s) from its established bidder's list; and
WHEREAS, on December 15, 2016, the Division of Central Purchasing received four (4) bids in response to this advertisement; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works recommends that an award be made to Rana Construction Inc., 430 Madison Avenue, Elizabeth, New Jersey 07201, the lowest responsive and responsible bidder; and
WHEREAS, the Supervising Procurement Specialist, concurs from review and evaluation with the recommendation that the award be made to Rana Construction Inc., 430 Madison Avenue, Elizabeth, New Jersey 07201, the lowest responsive and responsible bidder; and
