WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council is desirous of supporting Easter Service and Festivities for Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, at Belmont Runyon School, One Belmont Runyon Way, Newark, New Jersey 07108 (Auditorium and Gymnasium), on Sunday, April 16, 2017, from 8:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M.; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event by approving the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council of the City of Newark supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Belmont Runyon School, One Belmont Runyon Way, Newark, New Jersey 07108 (Auditorium and Gymnasium), on Sunday, April 16, 2017, from 8:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. for Easter Service and Festivities for Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
2. The City Clerk, on behalf of the Newark Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for their records.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
STATEMENT
This resolution supports the issuance, by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commissio, of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for the benefit of Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Belmont Runyon School, One Belmont Runyon Way, Newark, New Jersey 07108 (Auditorium and Gymnasium), on Sunday, April 16, 2017, from 8:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. for Easter Service and Festivities for Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, sponsored by Councilman John Sharpe James.
