AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 23:5-4.2, PARKING LIMITED TO FIFTEEN (15) MINUTES, OF TITLE 23, TRAFFIC AND PARKING, OF THE REVISED GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, 2000, AS AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED, BY LIMITING PARKING TO FIFTEEN (15) MINUTES AT PARK PLACE. (East Ward)

WHEREAS, In the East Ward, the Division of Traffic and Signals, desires to restrict parking to fifteen (15) minutes along the east side of the street at 58 Park Place, in front of the Greater Newark Convention Visitor Bureau; and
WHEREAS, the fifteen (15) minute parking restriction is needed to keep commuters from using the space as day long commuter parking.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
Section 1. That Section 23:5-4.2, Parking Limited to Fifteen (15) Minutes, of Title 23, Traffic and Parking, of the Revised General Ordinances of the City of Newark, New Jersey, 2000, as amended and supplement, be amended by adding there to the following:
58 Park Place, in front of the Greater Newark Convention Visitor Bureau,
east side of the street, 24 hours per day, Monday through Sunday.
Section 2. Any existing ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon final passage and publication in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey.
Section 4. This ordinance does not require approval by the Commissioner of Transportation.

Ordinance amending section 23:5-4.2, Parking Limited to Fifteen (15) Minutes, of Title 23, Traffic and Parking by prohibiting vehicles from parking on the east side of the street at 58 Park Place, in front of the Greater Newark Convention Visitor Bureau, for longer than fifteen (15) minutes, 24 hours per day, Monday through Sunday.
