Resolution7R2-a adopted on November 2, 2016, authorized the acceptance of funds in the amount of $124,113.00. This amendment seeks to accept additional funds in the amount of $23,175.00, increasing the total grant award to $147,288.00.

WHEREAS, the New Jersey Department of Health provided funds for sexually transmitted disease outreach and education; and
WHEREAS, on November 2, 2016, the Municipal Council adopted Resolution 7R2-A, which ratified and authorized the Mayor of the City of Newark and/or his designee, the Interim Director of the Department of Health and Community Wellness, to apply for and accept grant funds in the amount of $124,113.00 from the New Jersey Department of Health; and
WHEREAS, on February 14, 2017, the New Jersey Department of Health (hereinafter "NJDOH"), notified the City of Newark, Department of Health and Community Wellness, that the NJDOH authorized an additional $23,175.00 in grant funds for the provision of additional STD/Zika screenings and public interventions, which amounts to...
