WHEREAS, on March 23, 2017, the City of Newark through its Supervising Procurement Specialist, QPA, advertised to solicit bids for Maintenance and Repair: Refuse Garbage Collection McNeilus and Leach Packer Bodies, which the contractor will provide to the City of Newark for the Department of Public Works usage as described in the attached bid proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Central Purchasing also solicited eight (8) bids from prospective vendor (s) from its established bid list, and
WHEREAS, on March 23, 2017, the Division of Central Purchasing received three (3) bids in response to this advertisement; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works recommends that an award be made to A. Lembo Car & Heavy Truck Collision, Inc., 76 Riverside Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104 (hereinafter referred to as "Awardee"), the lowest responsive and responsible bidder; and
