WHEREAS, the City of Newark, Department of Recreation, Cultural Affairs and Senior Services, will operate the Senior Olympics for approximately Five Hundred (500) City of Newark senior citizens as a recreational and physical activity program; and
WHEREAS, the Senior Olympics will operate on August 26 2017, from 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, based upon the capacity and facility needs of the Senior Olympics, Newark Public Schools' Malcolm X Shabazz Athletic Complex facility is required for the operation of the Senior Olympics on August 26, 2017; and
WHEREAS, this year, the City of Newark, Department of Recreation, Cultural Affairs and Senior Services, desires to operate the Senior Olympics at Newark Public Schools' Malcolm X Shabazz Athletic Complex, 86 Johnson Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07108; and
WHEREAS, in order to operate the Senior Olympics at Malcolm X Shabazz Athletic Complex, 86 Johnson Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07108, the City of Newark is required to issue a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, agreeing to hold harmless, indemnify, and defend Newark Public Schools, its agents, servants, and administrators from any and all liability arising out of or related to the use of said premises or property, including but not limited to, any and all costs, including attorney fees; and
