WHEREAS, the City of Newark, Department of Recreation, Cultural Affairs and Senior Services, will operate the Diamond Gloves Boxing Semi-Finals Tournament for approximately Five Hundred (500) City of Newark residents, ages eight (8) and over, as a recreational and physical activity program; and
WHEREAS, the Diamond Gloves Boxing Semi-Finals Tournament will operate on September 15, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. and September 16, 2017, from 12:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, based upon the capacity and facility needs of the Diamond Gloves Boxing Semi-Finals Tournament, and the programs already scheduled to be conducted at the City of Newark's recreational facilities, Newark Housing Authority's The Waterfront gymnasium facility, 2 Grafton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, ("The Waterfront") is required for the operation of the boxing tournament on September 15, 2017 and September 16, 2017; and
WHEREAS, this year, the City of Newark, Department of Recreation, Cultural Affairs and Senior Services, desires to operate the Diamond Gloves Boxing Semi-Finals Tournament at The Waterfront; and
WHEREAS, in order to operate the Diamond Gloves Boxing Semi-Finals Tournament at The Waterfront, the City of Newark is required to issue a Hold Harmless and Indemnifi...
