WHEREAS, the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church "Marathon of Peace" is an event that provides the community the opportunity to come together and enjoy themselves for a fun-filled wholesome family event; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council has indicated its support and sponsorship of this year's Immaculate Heart of Mary Church "Marathon of Peace" to be held at Lafayette Street starting from Prospect Street to Market Street to Ferry Street to Jefferson Street and back to Lafayette Street, on Sunday, September 24, 2017, from 12:30 P.M. until 2:30 P.M.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council does hereby support and sponsor the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church "Marathon of Peace" to be held at Lafayette Street starting from Prospect Street to Market Street to Ferry Street to Jefferson Street and back to Lafayette Street, on Sunday, September 24, 2017, from 12:30 P.M. until 2:30 P.M.
