WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council is desirous of supporting parking for attendees of the Unveiling of the Immigrant Monument at the intersection of Ferry Street, Wilson Avenue and Merchant Street, at Wilson Avenue School (Parking Lot), 19 Wilson Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07105 on Saturday, October 14, 2017, from 10:00 A.M. until 3:30 P.M.; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event for the benefit of Newark residents by approving this Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission for the benefit of Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council of the City of Newark supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission for the benefit of Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Wilson Avenue School (Parking Lot), 19 Wilson Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07105 on Saturday, October 14, 2017, from 10:00 A.M. until 3:30 P.M.
2. The City Clerk, on behalf of the Newark Municipal Council shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102 for their records.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
STATEMENT
This resolution hereby supports the issuance by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for the benefit of Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102 for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Wilson Avenue School (Parking Lot), 19 Wilson Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07105, for attendees of the Unveiling of the Immigrant Monument on Saturday, October 14, 2017, from 10:00 A.M. until 3:30 P.M. sponsored by Councilman Augusto Amador.
