WHEREAS, on December 21, 2016, the Newark Municipal Council adopted Resolution 7R9-a 122116 (attached), which authorized the Mayor and/or his designee, the Director of the Department of Public Safety, to submit an application to the United States Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency, for grant funds from the FY2015 Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response Authority Grant program; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 7R9-a December 21, 2016 further authorized the acceptance of a resulting grant award in the amount of $5,587,236.00; and
WHEREAS, throughout Resolution 7R9-a December 21, 2016, the grant award amount was indicated to be $5,587,236.00; and
WHEREAS, it has since come to the Administration's attention, however, that the indicated grant award amount of $5,587,236.00 was incorrect due to scrivener error, and should instead have been $5,857,236.00 (Award Package attached); and
