WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council is desirous of supporting an Immigration Forum at Rafael Hernandez School (Auditorium and Cafeteria), 345 Broadway, Newark, New Jersey 07104 sponsored by Council Members Luis A. Quintana, Carlos M. Gonzalez and Anibal Ramos, Jr. on Saturday, October 14, 2017, from 8:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M.; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event for the benefit of Newark residents by approving this Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission for the benefit of Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council of the City of Newark supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission for the benefit of Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark's use of Rafael Hernandez School (Auditorium and Cafeteria), 345 Broadway, Newark, New Jersey 07104 for an Immigration Forum on Saturday, October 14, 2017, from 8:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M.
2. The City Clerk, on behalf of the Newark Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harm...
