WHEREAS, the City of Newark is desirous of supporting an educational and informative Fourth Annual Childhood Lead Awareness Walk, sponsored by the Director of the Department of Health and Community Wellness, at Military Park, 51 Park Place, Newark, New Jersey 07102, on Thursday, October 12, 2017, from 9:30 A.M. until 2:30 P.M.; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event for the benefit of Newark residents by approving this Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission for the benefit of Military Park Partnership, 50 Park Place, Suite 1431, Newark, New Jersey 07102.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council of the City of Newark supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission for the benefit of Military Park Partnership, 50 Park Place, Suite 1431, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Military Park/Military Park Great Lawn, 51 Park Place Newark, New Jersey 07102, for the holding of the “Fourth Annual Lead Awareness Walk” on Thursday, October 12, 2017, from 9:30 A.M. until 2:30 P.M.
2. The City Clerk, on behalf of the Newark Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to Military Park Partnership, 50 Park Place, Suite 1431, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for their records.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk by the Director of the Department of Health and Community Wellness.
STATEMENT
