NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
For Calendar Year 2018 the following scheduled days shall be considered as paid holidays.
January 1 New Year’s Day
January 15 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Birthday
February 12 Lincoln’s Birthday
February 19 Washington’s Birthday
March 30 Good Friday
May 28 Memorial Day (Observed)
July 4 Independence Day
September 3 Labor Day
October 8 Columbus Day
November 6 Election Day
November 12 Veteran’s Day
November 22-23 Thanksgiving
December 25 Christmas Day
STATEMENT
This resolution establishes the 2018 Paid Holiday Schedule for employees of the City of Newark.
