WHEREAS, the City of Newark, Department of Water and Sewer Utilities, is in need of a contractor to provide maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment at the City's Water and Sewer Facilities; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the public bidding process of the Local Public Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq., the Department of Water and Sewer Utilities advertised on December 5, 2017 in a general circulation paper, for the receipt of sealed bids for Maintenance and Repair of Mechanical Equipment at the City's Water and Sewer Facilities; and
WHEREAS, two (2) prospective bidders requested Bid Specifications from the Department of Water and Sewer Utilities; and
WHEREAS, on December 21, 2017 the Department of Water and Sewer Utilities received sealed bids from two (2) contractors for the maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment at the City's water and sewer facilities; and
