WHEREAS, Resolution 7R9-a (hereinafter, “Resolution”), adopted on August 3, 2016, authorized the Mayor and/or his designee, the Business Administrator to enter into an agreement with and accept from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Green Acres Program matching grant funds in the amount of Eight Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($850,000.00) for the redevelopment and rehabilitation of Jesse Allen Park; and
WHEREAS, there are sections in the Resolution that incorrectly list the Block/Lot designation of Jesse Allen Park as “41-57 Avon Avenue, Block 2592, Lot 1, Central Ward;” and
WHEREAS, the City therefore wishes to amend the Resolution by replacing all appearances of the incorrect block/lot description with the correct Block/Lot description which is: “41-55 Avon Avenue/Block 2583/Lot 44/Central Ward;” and
WHEREAS, all other aspects of the Resolution should remain the same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Mayor and/or his designee, the Business Administrator and/or the Mayor’s designee, the Director of the Department of Recreation, Cultural Affairs and Senior Services, are hereby authorized to execute grant documents to receive and expend from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Green Acres Program a matching grant award in the amount of Eight Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($850,000.00) for the redevelopment and rehabilitation of Jesse Allen Park, 41-55 Avon Avenue/Block 2583/Lot 44/Central Ward.
2. Resolution 7R9-a August 3, 2016, is amended by replacing all appearances of the incorrect block/lot description with the correct block/lot description: “41-55 Avon Avenue/Block 2583/Lot 44/Central Ward.”
3. All other terms of Resolution 7R9-a, adopted on August 3, 2016, shall remain in full force and effect, to the extent not otherwise amended herein.
4. The Director of the Department of Recreation, Cultural Affairs and Senior Services shall file in the Office of the City Clerk a fully executed copy of this amending resolution.
STATEMENT
This resolution amends Resolution 7R9-a August 3, 2016, by replacing all appearances of the incorrect block/lot description with the correct Block/Lot description: “41-55 Avon Avenue/Block 2583/Lot 44/Central Ward.” All other terms of Resolution 7R9-a, adopted on August 3, 2016, shall remain in full force and effect, to the extent not otherwise amended herein.
