WHEREAS, the African-American Heritage Parade is an annual event that provides the community the opportunity to come together and enjoy themselves for a fun-filled, wholesome family event; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council has indicated its support and co-sponsorship of this year’s African-American Heritage Parade to be held at Lincoln Park between Broad Street on Lafayette Street to Mulberry Street and end on Edison Place, on Sunday, May 27, 2018, at 12:00 P.M.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council does hereby support and co-sponsor the Annual African-American Heritage Parade to be held at Lincoln Park and proceed up to Broad Street on Lafayette Street to Mulberry Street and end on Edison Place, on Sunday, May 27, 2018, at 12:00 P.M.
