WHEREAS, the July 4th Community Day Block Party is an event that provides the community the opportunity to come together and enjoy themselves for a fun-filled wholesome family event; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council indicated its’ support and sponsorship of this wholesome, family centered event, the July 4th Community Day Block Party will be held on 2nd Street between Orange Street and 7th Avenue, on Wednesday, July 4, 2018, from 12:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council does hereby support and sponsors the July 4th Community Day Block Party on 2nd Street between Orange Street and 7th Avenue, on Wednesday, July 4, 2018, from 12:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M.
2. The Municipal Council in sponsoring this special event waives the City of Newark’s event fees and costs.
STATEMENT
This resolution hereby supports and declares sponsorship of the July 4th Community Day Block Party to be held on 2nd Street, between Orange Street and 7th Avenue, in the East Ward, on Wednesday, July 4, 2018, from 12:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M., sponsored by Council Member, Eddie Osborne.
