WHEREAS, on September 19, 2017, the City of Newark through its Supervising Procurement Specialist, QPA, advertised to solicit bids for contractor(s) to provide Fire Suppression Foams and Compounds, to the Department of Public Safety/Division of Fire, as per the bid proposal attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Central Purchasing also distributed five (5) bid proposal packages to the prospective vendors following the date of advertisement; and
WHEREAS, on October 5, 2017, the Division of Central Purchasing received three (3) bids in response to this advertisement; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Safety/Division of Fire recommends that an award be made to Action Fire Apparatus Co., Inc., d/b/a New Jersey Fire Equipment ("New Jersey Fire Equipment"), the lowest responsive and responsible bidder; and
