WHEREAS, the City of Newark is desirous of providing venues for wholesome family events that encourages residents to come out and enjoy themselves during the summer months; and
WHEREAS, the Lincoln Park Music Festival offers residents various musical entertainment, including gospel, jazz, hip-hop, house music, food and health and wellness awareness; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council indicated its’ support of the Lincoln Park Music Festival to be held in Lincoln Park, on Friday, July 27, 2018 through Sunday, July 29, 2018, from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council hereby supports and co-sponsors the Lincoln Park Music Festival, to be held in Lincoln Park, on Friday, July 27, 2018 through Sunday, July 29, 2018, from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M.
2. The Municipal Council in co-sponsoring this special event waives the City of Newark’s event fees and costs, however does not waive the insurance coverage requirements due to be provided by the event organizers.

This resolution hereby supports and declares co-sponsorship of the Lincoln Park Music Festival to be held in Lincoln Park, in the Central Ward, on Friday, July 27, 2018 through Sunday, July 29, 2018, from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M., sponsored by Council Member, LaMonica R. McIver.
