WHEREAS, Ordinance 6PSF-e, adopted on May 20, 2015, authorizes the designation of an intersection, etc. for honorary and ceremonial purposes; and
WHEREAS, Fabuwood Cabinetry Corporation, a successful manufacturer, relocated its operations to the City of Newark from Jersey City in 2018; and
WHEREAS, as a result of the relocation, over 700 new workers, many of them from Newark, became part of Newark’s ever expanding manufacturing base.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council does hereby authorize the honorary and ceremonial renaming of Blanchard Street as Fabuwood Way.
2. The official name of the said street shall remain Blanchard Street in its entirety.

This resolution authorizes the naming of Blanchard Street as Fabuwood Way, for honorary and ceremonial purposes.
